What Works Right Now
Last checked: October 23, 2026. L.O.S Restaurant City runs a community-built server for the version of the game that survived (0.9.143a, from 2009). Here's where it's at. Something not on this list broken? Tell us in Bug Reports.
✅ Working
- Your restaurant: placing and moving tables, chairs, kitchens, floors, walls and decorations.
- Staff: hiring friends as waiters, chefs and cleaners. Friends' pictures show on the street, on staff cards and in the hiring screen.
- Cooking and your menu: collecting ingredients, cooking dishes and serving them. Saves that include a served dish work.
- The newspaper: The Restaurant City Times greets you with a welcome page, how-to-play basics and tips.
- Saving: your restaurant is saved to your L.O.S account, and backed up every night.
🟡 Partly working
- The server: about 30 of the game's server calls are rebuilt so far. Anything else answers with nothing, so the game treats that action as failed. If something does nothing when you click it, it's probably one of those: tell us what you clicked, so we know what to build next.
⏳ Not available
- Later content: this is an early version of the game, with less content than Restaurant City had by 2012. Later versions were only partly archived.
- Buying Playfish Cash with real money: nothing in the game is sold.

Post in Bug Reports in the forums or in the Restaurant City channels on the L.O.S Games Discord: say what you clicked, what happened, and add a screenshot if you can.
